Stones with unknown scripts were first found and informed by Vitzen.N in 1692 near Verhoture and by Remezov.S in 1696 around Tallas river area. In 1730 Stralenberg F.E. notified about the same monuments which locate in the Valley of Yenissei River and Uibat. By Russian king, Peter’s resolution, Siberian expedition was led by Messersmidt in 1722 then noted the monuments, rocks and stones.

In 1818 Grigori Spaski, Russian tourist, published the news about unknown scripts in "Siberian Bestnik" paper. So it could initially attract public attention. There were almost same scripts with unknown scripts in Scandinavian Bay and it had been called as "RUNES" like their dialects. During II-XIII century A.D, Scandinavian residents used to have Runes Letters as signs for telling horoscopes, sacrifice and religious matters. The scripts that found from Central Asia and Siberia were drawn much attentions of Finland and Dutch countries and interested to interpret the meanings. Nobody was able to interpret any word explanation in the beginning then many different ideas were raised. For example: Bayer said the scripts were old Celt’s scripts but Pallas P.S. guessed that they were one type of Got scripts. Some Europeans (Scandinavians) started thinking that Siberia and Central Asia weren’t their ancestor’s countries. The person who first revealed the secret and gave the explanation about the scripts was Thomson William Ludwig (1842-1927), professor of the Department of Comparative Linguistics, Copenhagen University.
Thomson watched thousands of words characters, compiled same characters in the order and noted that total 38 characters (letters) were included in the script. And it had been confirmed. He found out “t,k,u” sounds from words of “tu-que”(Turug), “qu-tegin”(Kultegin), “bi-kie”(Bilige) characters that was written by the King of Tan country when erecting the monument and could read “tngri”(sky). Thomson tried very hard and could reveal the secret of Turug Scripts.
He presented a report of 15 pages for the Conference of Scientific Association, Dutch King on the 15 of December, 1893 and made a great discovery in the history of nomadic civilization. From this time, 1893, turug scripts’ secret revealed and the first step made shine the secret of Mongol, turug cultural civilization of Central Asia.
Monumental Script is the brief political history of Huh Turug. The monumental scripts used to be called imprudently as “Runes “(secret script) or “Orkhon- Enisei” script. Let’s systemize the name as “Huh Turug Scripts” or “Turug Scripts” briefly. It is no doubt that Turug Scripts were made by Turug ancestors. And it is proved by its characters.

It is not wrong that European researchers recommended that the scripts were from Sogda. Because altai-turug-mongol language speakers who were the ancient ancestors of present Uzbek, Kazakhstan residents majored among Sogda nation. For phonetics, the Turug script had been perfect and had the finest rules.  Except it could differ words as female and male words, it had vowels and consonants for male words and vowels and consonants for female words. And also transcript the pronunciations….
